Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply in relation to Your attendance and participation at Specialist Finance Group National Conference to be held in Melbourne, Australia from 12-15 November 2024.
1. Definitions
The meanings of the defined terms used in these Terms and Conditions are set out below.
• Accompanying Person means any person accompanying You to the Evening Events.
• Accommodation means the hotel specified in your registration or such other hotel arranged by the Conference Organisers and advised to You.
• Accommodation Dates means the nights of 12, 13 & 14 November 2024 with check-in and check-out times set by the hotel specified in your registration.
• Australian Consumer Law means Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and the corresponding provisions of any applicable state or territory laws.
• Conference Organisers means Specialist Finance Group and TRIBE collectively.
• Conference means 2024 Specialist Finance Group National Conference held in Melbourne from 12-15 November 2024 (inclusive).
• Claim means any action, suit, claim, proceeding or demand of any nature whatsoever.
• TRIBE means, Tribe Travel & Events Pty Ltd (trading as TRIBE Management), ABN 52 620 641 812.
• Loss means any claim, action, damage, loss, liability, cost, charge or expense suffered or incurred, whether direct, indirect or consequential and whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise.
• Registration Fees means the fees payable with respect to the conference (if any).
• Terms and Conditions means these terms and conditions.
• You/Your means the person who agrees to these Terms and Conditions and, except for the definition of Accompanying Person, includes any Accompanying Person.
2. Limitation of liability and release
2.1 You may have certain rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited (Consumer Rights). Nothing in these Terms and Conditions applies to the extent that it is inconsistent with Your Consumer Rights.
2.2 To the extent lawfully permitted, the Conference Organisers and their directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors, are not liable to You for any Loss arising from or in any way connected with, the Conference.
2.3 To the extent lawfully permitted, You release and forever discharge the Conference Organisers and their directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors from all Claims which You may otherwise have for Loss to property (including but not limited to personal property or belongings) and bodily injury or death however caused, including (without limitation) if caused by negligence or otherwise, arising from or in any way connected with, the Conference.
3. Indemnity
To the extent lawfully permitted, You indemnify and agree to hold harmless the Conference Organisers and their directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors, in respect of any Claim or Loss by any person including, without limitation, You, an Accompanying Person or another Conference attendee, arising as a result of or in any way connected with Your and/or any Accompanying Person's attendance or actions at the Conference.
4. Conference Changes
The Conference Organisers reserve the right to change any part, feature or aspect of the Conference and will notify You of any significant changes.
5. Accommodation
Accommodation will be the responsibility of the delegate. You must comply with all rules and requirements of the Accommodation (including, without limitation check-in and check-out times) and SFG has no responsibility or liability to provide you with any alternative accommodation.
6. Conference packages
Your Conference registration specifies all included items. You must pay any fees or costs incurred with respect to any additional matters including, without limitation, accommodation, meals, beverages, mini-bar, hotel services and transportation.
7. Travel arrangements
Except for Conference function and Conference session transfers which are specifically included in your Conference registration, You are solely responsible for your travel with respect to the Conference.
You are also solely responsible for Your travel to and from the Conference including, without limitation, flights and transfers.
8. Cancellation
Cancellation requests relating to the Conference must be made in writing to both TRIBE and SFG. Registration fee is 100% non-refundable.
9. Special requirements
If You and/or any Accompanying Person have any special dietary, cultural or health requirements or needs, You must inform the Conference Organisers at the time of registration. The Conference Organisers do not guarantee that special requests will be accommodated.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws in force in the State of Western Australia and each party irrevocably and unconditionally submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Western Australian courts.

SFG National Conference attendee agreement:
This agreement is entered into between You, SFG and TRIBE.
By ticking the box below, You declare, acknowledge and agree as follows:
• I have read and understand the Terms and Conditions;
• I will comply with and be bound by the Terms and Conditions;
• I am authorised to respond on behalf of each Accompanying Person (if any);
• Each Accompanying Person has read and understands the Terms and Conditions (if any); and
• Each Accompanying Person agrees to comply with and be bound by the Terms and Conditions (if any).

TRIBE – Travel & Events are committed to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide us with for this event registration. The following statements describe what we are doing with your data and how long we store it for so you are fully informed prior to submitting your personal information for event registration.
Once your registration is submitted, you have the right to:
• Ask us about your personal data at any time
• Withdraw consent for the use of your personal data at any time
• Request that we forget (anonymize) your personal data
Please be aware that the withdrawal of consent after you have submitted your registration will be treated as a cancellation and the event cancellation policy will apply, as noted in the event Terms and Conditions.

Why are we processing your personal data?
We ask for your personal data to facilitate your registration for this event.
Distribution of data
As part of the organisation of the event, we will need to share appropriate data with third parties in order to process your registration. These third parties may include, but are not limited to:
• Microsoft Azure
• ANZ eGate (our secure ecommerce provider)
• Applicable hotels, airlines, transfer companies, venues and event suppliers to enable your reservation for the event
• Specialist Finance Group
How long will we store your personal data?
We will need to keep a record of your data for up to 18 months after the conclusion of the event. Additionally, we request that any data provided to any third parties is permanently deleted within 60 days of the conclusion of the event.
